Petronas Penapisan Melaka


The PETRONAS Melaka Refinery Complex located in the state of Melaka in Malaysia houses two refining trains. The first train, known as PSR-1, is owned and operated by PETRONAS Penapisan (Melaka) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS. Completed in 1994, the train has a capacity to process 100,000 barrels per day of sweet crude and condensates.

The second train, PSR-2, is owned by Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between PETRONAS and Conoco-Phillips. Operated by PETRONAS Penapisan (Melaka) Sdn Bhd, the train commenced operations in December 1998 and has a rated capacity of 100,000 barrels per day of sweet and sour crudes.
